Mekkayla has almost 20 years' experience in the real estate industry, the fourth generation in her family to enter into real estate. She started in the industry by managing her family's portfolio of properties in Brisbane, then moved on to become a qualified and licensed property manager and sales agent in Queensland.
Travelling to England in 2007 gave Mekkayla a different perspective of real estate before coming back to New Zealand and joining Summit Property Management. Taking a brief break from real estate, Mekkayla worked for Fairfax Media where she was introduced to the world of digital marketing, a skill which she found to be very valuable in the property management industry.
With qualifications in Real Estate Management, Trust Accounting, Marketing, CRM's and IT Networking & Communications, she is more than qualified to take care of your investment property.
Living on the outskirts of Blenheim, Mekkayla and her husband operate a 200-acre beef cattle farm, along with the never ending house renovations. Taking any opportunity they can to head out to the Marlborough Sounds and spend time on their boat.
Mekkayla believes that the principles and philosophies of which Summit Property Management are built on, are closely aligned with her beliefs and training which make for a positive relationship with landlords and tenants.
Mekkayla takes a proactive approach in understanding our requirements and limitations, providing us peace of mind to be able to relax and know that she has the property well cared for - whilst being mindful and respectful towards the needs of the tenants.
Greg & Jan
Since giving my properties to Mekkayla to manage she has been prompt, diligent and fair; treating each property as if it were her own. She has communicated with me well, and offered sound advice when I needed it. As an investor, I felt my properties have been well managed.
Mekkayla was very knowledgeable and came across in a way that eased our fears on being new landlords, and we have been so pleased over the past 18 months that we are are now looking to purchase a second property as an investment.
