Recently we checked back in with Molly Stanton, our latest Strive to Thrive winner of a $500 sponsorship, who recently competed in the juvenile grade at the NZ Speed Skating Nationals.
On the first day, Molly got a personal best in the 200m road time trial. Previously she hadn’t skated that distance under 32 seconds but managed to do it in 28. This means not only can she skate in future nationals at juvenile level but she’s also qualified to skate in the junior grade age 12-15 when that time comes.
Molly proudly received a debutant medal and was the flag bearer for the Blenheim team at the opening ceremony.
From Molly's parents, Angelea and Jeff, 'This was a fantastic opportunity for Molly to develop her skills and experience a National level competition. We are truly grateful for the support you and your team provided Molly'.
Keep an eye out on your Facebook page and website to be in with a chance to receive a $500 sponsorship for your child.
